I love this thing! I can get any angle I want without any fuss. The joints and brackets take some time to get used to but it is fabulous!

I don’t think I have ever bought a Manfrotto product that didn’t provide an excellent balance between quality and price. This arm is no exception. The two parts and 3 joints provides limitless flexibility. To make sense, you will need something to fasten one end of the arm to something sturdy, such as a table, pole, tripod, light stand etc. A Manfrotto Super Clamp will be excellent for that purpose:https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Manfrotto-035-Ftc-Super-Clamp/dp/B0039IABF4/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=super%2Bclamp%2Bmanfrotto&qid=1626875289&s=ce-de&sr=1-1&th=1To the other end you will attach your light, flash, camera or whatever. A camera bracket for example: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/143BKT-Manfrotto-Camera-Umbrella-Bracket/dp/B00134SCCA/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=camera+manfrotto&qid=1626875204&s=ce-de&sr=1-4This arm is not intended for very heavy loads, up to 1.5kg max. For heavier attachments up to 3 kg you should look at the Manfrotto Friction Arm instead: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/244N-Manfrotto-Variable-Friction-Arm/dp/B001CFCFVE/ref=psdc_1358844031_t1_B001CRQ7Y8?th=1But if you use lighter cameras, flashes, umbrellas etc. like I do. this arm will be sufficient and 1/3 the price of the Variable Friction Arm.However, a word of advice, if you already know you need to do a lot of continuous adjustments to positioning the arm, you may appreciate that the more expensive Friction Arm will allow to loosen and tightening all 3 joints in one operation. This arm requires that you loosen/tighten each of the 3 joints which will be a drag in some situations. With the fair pricing of Manfrottos products there is no need engaging in the false economics of cheap knock-offs of questionable durability.BTW: remember to extend your warranty for free on Manfrotto’s website within 1 month of purchase. In most cases you will get several years extra on top of the regular protection.

The main issue was the stability. And by saying stability, I mean how well it holds once tightened.I wanted to use this in conjunction with the Manfrotto clamp and a small mirrorless camera. NO the camera was holding with a kit lens. I used a SOny A6400 (so anything about that size) with both, the kit lens and a heavier Sigma 14mm. The joint that is connected to the clamp was the one giving me problems.Although overall the arm is holding everything together, sometimes I had to tighten to what seemed too much for the joint to not loose position for the camera with the kit lens. With the Sigma lens, which is a heavier lens, it was even worse. I had to almost break my palm to tighten. That I deemed to bee too much force needed to tighten.Otherwise I liked the position felzibility you can set it to. Every possible angle was doable. So in this regard more than happy. But I soon found out that managing 3 tightening points while trying to find the best position for the camera is annoing.Build quality overall is very good. As one would expect from a Manfrotto product. Yes, the joint that is close to the mounting point was the one that needed the most tightening and sometimes to the point of frustration, but I always ended up with it tightened. Though I can imagine the arm wouldn’t tolerate such usage forever and would eventually give in.Overall it would be recommended for use with something that doesn’t weight more than a small mirrorrless camera with a light lens.
